My BIO

Ida B. Torn is my pen name. I am a lifelong Southerner from Kenner, Louisiana A graduate of both high school and college, I built my career in the newspaper industry and digital graphic design before moving into public service, where I now manage part of a major U.S. agency division based in Louisiana.

Drawing on decades of experience in media, leadership, and community work, I write to help everyday Americans make sense of work, family, money, and modern life with honesty, humor, and heart. Through my Ida B. Torn persona, I celebrate open conversation, Radical Candor, and the value of independent thinking. My goal is to encourage readers to consider all sides of an issue and approach their choices with clarity, courage, and strong personal values.
